This is how it goes...

Diane. Recent Graduate of Mason Gross School of the Arts. Taking a year off before grad school. I guess you could say I'm just hanging out "in the middle" right now.

Whatever deceptions life may have in store for you,
music itself is not going to let you down."

I’m back!

Well, Tumblr, I’ve been gone for a while.  Then I started a fitness Tumblr, and that went well for a while, but then I sort of forgot about that one, too.  However, upon discovering that Disney Memories Tumblr page, I revisited this old thing.  And then I realized…I’m in AUSTRIA.  There is so much to blog about!  Why am I not blogging?!  So I’m going to start now.  It may fall by the wayside once again when I return to the States, but for now hopefully you all can enjoy reading about my adventures in Salzburg, and the trials & tribulations of an opera summer program.  So…here goes…

Today I managed to go to the grocery store all by myself!  I know this sounds like no big deal, but the people that work at the grocery store near my apartment do not speak English very well.  At ALL.  They are a little bit older, and sometimes middle aged or older people did not get English in school, so they are not as easy to communicate with.  Of course, I always try to start in German, but sometimes if they start talking to me very quickly, I need to revert to English to understand.  Anyway, I went today to buy some bread, cheese, & eggs, and it was quite an easy undertaking!  So crisis averted at the market!

Tonight I may go see a broadcast of Mozart’s Così fan tutte, and that should be awesome!  So I will let you all know if I go.

I have a Lieder coaching soon, so I am going to head off for now.

Tschüß!
