Yay for days off!
Today I did not set an alarm. I woke up at 10, read in my PJs, drank some tea, & ate a delicious & fruity pastry for breakfast. Then I met up with a few people to go shopping at the EUROPARK! The Europark is a big mall just outside of Salzburg. It was pretty hot out today for Austrian weather, so we decided to do something indoors with air conditioning. Plus, I haven’t really had ANY time to do some shopping yet, so I thought it would be fun. And it definitely was! Getting yummy mocha gelato was a plus, too. =) I would also like to take the time to thank Austria for having a MUCH better mass transportation system than the US does. America, your buses SUCK. Austria, your buses are A-OK!
After the shopping excursion, we all went back to our friends’ dorm & decided to have a Disney movie night. Of course I find the fellow Disney lovers in the program ha. We made mashed potatoes & green beans, drank wild berry vodka, & watched The Emperor’s New Groove. It was an incredibly fun & relaxing day with friends!
Tomorrow we are heading to Mozart’s house in the morning, and then hopefully going to see the fortress after lunch. I want to take full advantage of this weekend off, even though its supposed to rain all day tomorrow. We probably won’t get another day off during the program, since the opera opens in just about a week.
Crossing my fingers for nice weather tomorrow!
