Busy, busy in Salzburg!
Last night I had the privilege of singing a Lieder recital in the Schloss Frohnburg, which was featured in The Sound of Music as the outside of the Von Trapp Estate, & also during “I have Confidence.” It was pretty amazing, and the hall where we performed was beautiful.
Today I had rehearsal from 10 am-9:30 pm. SUCH a long day. Three run-throughs, but that’s what happens when you have to rehearse three different casts. It was fun, though. For lunch we got some yummy chicken curry from My Indigo down the street. Its really becoming one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite. And then for dinner we had a bit of a longer break, so everyone came back to our place to cook pasta & listen to Disney music.
Also, today I had a “Red Bull Simply Cola.” It was the oddest thing I had ever tasted. It was not an energy drink, but it was certainly not a “cola.” It did give me the caffeine boost I needed, though.
Tomorrow we have a run through in the morning, followed by clean-up all afternoon. The first Sitzprobe is on Friday, and then before we know it, it will be Monday! Opening night! So I must get to bed now. Prepping for another long day of rehearsal.
Ciao!
